Since established in 2004, Share It Forward® has helped Herschend Enterprises (HE) employees and their families. The program was born out of a heritage of employees taking care of each other. “For years the men and women of HE helped one another out during times of crisis,” shares Anne Herschend-McGregor. “Share It Forward was a formal way of carrying on that same spirit of loving support.” The Herschend Family soon embraced Share It Forward and since its launch has donated over $12 million dollars to the organization. Alongside the family’s donation came the message from Herschend Enterprises Corporation, with a commitment to match any donation an HE employee makes to Share It Forward.
Today Share It Forward is a thriving non-profit, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives a majority of its funding through the generous contributions of HE employees, the Herschend Family and matching funds from the HE corporation. In addition to employee contributions, there are also fundraisers held at each HE property.
Those funds are actively utilized to assist HE employees in times of personal crisis, to restore or strengthen a marriage, to assist parents and their families, to further educations or to help someone find restoration in their personal life, and to help promote wellness of body, mind & spirit .
